All of the projects in the Sweet Treat Special are made with a 5″ x 7″ hoop, then assembled with tabs and glue. Detailed instructions are included for each project.
Sew Sweet – These magnetic cupcake pincushions are deliciously sweet and so fun to make! The top of the cupcake has pockets to hold four magnets, or you can leave them out for a traditional pincushion. The magnets are quite handy – use them for metal bobbins, snips, pins, tweezers, etc. Use different fabric and make holiday pincushions, or fill them with candy!
Sundae Stash – Use your stash fabric to make this pretty but functional treat. This delicious Sundae has a little chamber hiding under the toppings to hold your sharp pins and needles. They look so pretty in my sewing room next to my cupcake pincushions!
Candy Cones – Make these pretty cones for any occasion. The top opens, and the cones can be filled with candy (or Fiberfil if you prefer). They are big enough to hold a handful of candy – mini candy bars will fit, too. Hang them on your Christmas tree for a quick, easy treat. Make them for your New Year’s Party favors! Wouldn’t they be perfect for a bridal shower or wedding? Change the colors, and you have an easy project for any occasion.
