The rectangular placemats are finished in the hoop with overlapping fabric on the back. The oval trivet and coasters are made with wash away stabilizer, and are finished in the hoop.

I used my Soft Loft Fusible Stabilizer to make the placemats, trivet, and coasters. I didn’t use any additional batting, and my placemats have a very soft, vintage feel.
