This adorable stocking, which was shown in Designs in Machine Embroidery (Nov/Dec 2008), includes an applique frame!  It is made in sections in the hoop, then assembled.

Frame a picture printed on computer printer fabric, or use decorative fabric inside the frame, or you can leave it blank and write a name inside the frame with glue, glitter, etc.  Doesn’t my little sister look cute in this stocking!
